Moringa oil

Moringa Oleifera is cultivated in almost all tropical regions, particularly in India for the production of its fruits which are eaten cooked and exported fresh or preserved. This food plant can grow to a height of about ten metres. It grows rapidly even in poor soil and suffers little from drought. The virgin oil is extracted by first cold pressing of its seeds.

Moringa oil has been known for over a century as BEN or Behan oil. Its use is culinary. It is as famous as Florence oil for its clear, smokeless light when burnt in the lampion. Its high content of oleic acid, its atypical content of behenic acid and its remarkable resistance to oxidation make it an ideal oil for hair care, lipsticks or massage oils.
